DAY 112: Half marathon training starts!

I had planned to start training for my half marathon today but I was a bit dismayed when the weather suddenly turned bad in the late afternoon. It rained for a good 2 hours before subsiding. When I went home, I was tempted to just have a workout at home since it is more convenient. After dinner and taking some time to rest, I finally dragged my body out for a 45min run.

The run today is a bit different. The distance would be a lot longer. It is not the distance I am used to and I would not be running fast; instead aiming for a steady pace.

It was a good run today. When I reached the 3km mark, I was in the ZONE. I didn’t feel tried or out of breath and felt like I could keep going. It was only during the 5km mark when I started to feel my abdomen cramping. Ah! My sworn enemy! Stitches! I had to slow down a bit before I could pick up the pace again.

Despite the stitch, I was able to complete the run with good pacing. 6:07min/km. Woot!
