DAY 114: Barbell and leg recovery

Haven’t been kicking for too long and Friday’s taekwondo training made my legs really sore. I could feel my hamstrings and inner thighs hurting. Running seems to be out of the question today. I don’t know, we’ll see. I made do with with I have at home, a set of barbell and pull up bars.

Today’s training:

3 10 5 Weighted Pull ups 5kg. 10, 10, 10, 10, 10

I still couldn’t do 10 reps of shoulder press for each set at one go. This time round, instead of moving on the the next set, I put down the weight for a few seconds to allow my arms to rest first before lifting them up again to complete the set. Somehow, I feel weaker today. I wasn’t able to lift the weights as easily as before. Even picking up the barbell from the gorund seems to be a challenge. Maybe I am just tired.


I went to the park to do an additional 5sets of 10 dips. I also did some simple plyometrics to help my legs recover better. Now my legs don’t feel as achy anymore with more fresh blood flowing in them 🙂
