DAY 175: Train muscles, bones, and skin externally; 外練筋骨皮

There’s a Chinese saying when it comes to training martial arts, “外練筋骨皮 內練一口氣”. Train muscles, bones, and skin externally,  and train qi interally.

The Chinese saw the need to train the body externally to build up strong bones and muscles. Training the body does not just increase one’s martial prowess in combat, it also brings a lot of health benefits. That is why in many Chinese communities, in the early morning, you will see people going down to the park to exercise.

Hence, here’s my workout for the day!
