DAY 243 & 244: Trying barbell squats for the first time; upper body training the next day

So my Secondary School class Monitor got hitched. Congrats Sheng Hui and Xiu Wen! Bless you all a blissful marriage, overflowing with love!

As I will be there for the banquet, I didn’t have time for my run so I decided to try out barbell squats to burn off some fats. Initially, I did 1 set of 10 reps with 35kg but realised it was a bit too heavy so I dropped 5kg to 30kg and did 4sets of 10.

I thought it wasn’t much of a deal. I went down to have my lunch and came back home. After sitting for a while, the soreness came  in. I couldn’t even stand up from a sitting down position. LOL! I clearly under estimated the exercise. It is no wonder the squat is called the king of all exercises.

Anyways, DOMS set in the next day. My legs and butt were incredibly sore. I have difficulty moving around. Unfazed, I still did my upper body workout. But of course, at a more comfortable weight.
