DAY 246: Im glad I brought shin pads :D

Coach Pal gave us a warning last week. He’s gonna make us do shin blocks the next lesson and we are allowed to bring shin pads. I’m glad a heeded to  the advice and brought my shin pads today. We did loads on shin blocks. If I hadn’t brought them, I wouldn’t have been able to walk now.

Today’s fight training so everything has been brought one level higher. Really need to have resilience to push through the training. But it feels good after every fight training. To know you have given your all and survived.

Start Warm up: jumping jacks, running on the spot, tuck jumps
Stretching
Shadow boxing- every time coach Pal gives the command, we are to either fire 10 quick punches or 10 quick knees X2rounds
Teaching Practice technique:  tap block (jab), cover block (cross), right cover block (left hook), turn cover block (right uppercut), right uppercut, left hook, cross
Practice technique part 2: tap block (jab), cover block (cross), right cover block (left hook), turn cover block (right uppercut), right uppercut, left hook, cross, shin block (roundhouse), teep
Practice Round 1:

30 sec jab cross

30 sec left right roundhouse

Combination: teep (opponent moves in), cross, left hook, right roundhouse, tap block (jab), cover block (cross), right cover block (left hook), turn cover block (right uppercut), right uppercut, left hook, cross, shin block, teep, double roundhouse

Conditioning: jab, cross, left hook, right hook, left uppercut, right uppercut, right roundhouse, left roundhouse, burpees with push up and tuck jump- repeat 10 sets

Round 2:

30 sec jab cross

30 sec left right roundhouse

Combination: teep (opponent moves in), cross, left hook, right roundhouse, tap block (jab), cover block (cross), right cover block (left hook), turn cover block (right uppercut), right uppercut, left hook, cross, shin block, teep, double roundhouse

Conditioning: jab, cross, left hook, right hook, left uppercut, right uppercut, right roundhouse, left roundhouse, burpees with push up and tuck jump- repeat 10 sets

The kicks went through the shin pads…bruised despite wearing shin pads #muaythai #shinblock
