Footwork is an essential component in all martial arts. We looked into some advanced foot work today like doing skip steps and pivoting. It was a very confusing class as most of us are not familiar with some of the foot work. Hence, there was a lot less flow when we did the combination. Also, as we were moving around so much, we got breathless quite easily. Felt that I needed a lot of work with my footwork as I felt very clumsy. I needed time in between combinations to think of how to move my legs and body. I ended up becoming really slow.
