DAY 323: TKD cardio day

It’s competition tomorrow and everyone is really busy getting ready; except for us few who are not involved in the competition. So, we conducted training on our own. It was a power-packed legs/cardio session,

We started off class doing some stretching then some high kicks to stretch our legs even more:

High raising kick X40

Slamming kick X20

We then continued with some basic foot work drills. We spent about 10 mins bouncing on the balls of our feet and sliding forward, sliding backwards, sliding to the left and slinding to the right as well as switching between stances.

After that we did many kicks and exercises:

Slide forward slamming kick X20

Turning kick X20

Slide forward, turning kick X20

Conditioning drill: 15 push ups, turning kick X20, 10 tuck jumps

slide backwards, turning kick X20

Pendulum kick X20

Pendulum step drills on both legs 5min

Pendulum kick X20

Slide forward, turning kick, pendulum kick X20

Turning kick X20

Turning kick with power X40

And to end off the session, he did some HIIT exercises:

50 mountain climbers, 30 crunches, 25 squats, 10 burpees, 15 push up X3 sets
