DAY 330: Shovel hook to glory!

Worked on the shovel hook today. Fun and devastating technique. It was fun to execute and you feel really powerful when your hits land.

Start Warm up: jumping jacks, running on the spot, tuck jumps, burpees
Stretching
Shadow box
20 push up, 5 clap push ups, 15 squats, 10 tuck jumps,  40 crunches, 10 jackknives
Teaching Part 1: left shovel hook, right shovel hook

 

Part 2: Pad man holds that pad and call out the shots. React accordingly. (Jabs, cross, hooks, and shovel hooks)

 

Part 3: Jab, cross, step in, left shovel hook, left shovel hook and pivot left, cross

 

Part 4: Jab, cross, step in, left shovel hook, left shovel hook and pivot left, cross, right roundhouse, right push kick, jab, left hook, right shovel hook, double left roundhouse

Practice Combination: Jab, cross, step in, left shovel hook, left shovel hook and pivot left, cross, right roundhouse, right push kick, jab, left hook, right shovel hook, double left roundhouse

 

X3 rounds

 

Conditioning:  [50 punches X 40 roundhouse kicks]  X2 after each round

Conditioning [50 punches X 20 kicks]/ burpees   X3 sets
